Hello Everyone!
I am just going to post a quick note and hope to get back here later, too.
Quote for today and yesterday:
1. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. - Goethe
2. Praise to thee,
Oh Lord for all creation,
Give us thankful hearts that we may see,
All the gifts we share and every blessing,
All things, come from thee
--John Rutter, Look at the World
Well, we were beginning to feel like we were in Groundhog Day, but today we made a nice change. We have moved into Olga's and Alex's apartment. It is a nice 4 room apartment. They have been gracious enough to offer us a room that is bigger than our hotel room. They refuse to let us pay anything. They say it is so we can save money. We will figure something out, though. This also means we now have a washer, an oven, stove, clean bathroom, and internet all day long!!! Whew-hoo. It actually feels like a home. We have had a lot of fun and this change is welcomed. We even found a grocery store like at home nearby! (The one we had been using was quite small and limited) We are also closer to the orphange so a car will not be necessary.
Another great thing about today is it is finally sunny and pretty warm. Wow, it is amazing how much that affects my mood. I am sure that JM is happy too, ha! Well, like I said I just wanted to check in real quick. I will try to write again later if there is anything interesting to say.
Oh, I am sure that JM would want to tell you that he made his first Ukrainian grilled cheese sandwich today, awww, warm food without going to a resteraunt!
See you later!
Karen

A change right now is just what the Doctor ordered! It will be good to hear from ya'll maybe more often.
John Michael, check your email!
Glad ya'll have some sun, will you send some our way? The rain has our driveway looking like a mud pit again! Thow morotcross mud biker kids would love our driveway about now! Its suppose to stop raining for a while but it is so sultry, the floors feel wet. We may have to close the windows and cut on the AC UGH!
A day in the sunshine for Lance will be just the thing for all of you. Ya'll are doing such a wonderful job with Lance, but then I would expect no less of you two.
Hugs and Kisses to Lance!
Love ya'll, Nana and Pa
Hey!
It's the little things, isn't it? Sounds like Olga and Alex have really taken to you guys! By the way, I'm a sunshine girl too. Actually, night rainstorms are the best...but rain (and cold) lots of days in a row? NO me likey. We are actually having rainstorms here all day too. So I am checking the blog a little earlier than usual! John Michael, will you make me a grilled cheddar sandwich too? Maybe a BLT? Okay--pregnancy talking...the doctor told me not to let it talk too much! :0)
Get Lance in the Vitamin D!
Love, Suz
That is so nice that ya'll can have some of the amenities you were missing. I am sure that the feeling of home will make the stay a lot easier...maybe pass a little faster too!
Love ya'll...but need more Lance pics and videos :)

Hey guys,
I suspect that you appreciate the living quarters a lot more now than you would have if you had had them from the beginning. Funny how that works. I really miss getting to pick up the phone and call when I am thinking about you. We tried this morning, but I didn't have any luck with the number. I think we will get the special card before we try again since Sprint said it would be $5.12 plus tax, etc for one minute.
However, you really are worth it! What are the chances that you will make the family reunion in June with that little Lance? I realize that may be a bit much, but....an Oma can only hope.
The dogs are doing fine. I haven't slept on the floor any more, but I have had them follow me to another bed.
Love hearing from you so often. It's great!
Love, G'town Mom
Hi John Michael and Karen! Wow, did I get behind some on the posts. I am all caught up and it was so amazing to watch the videos and look at all the pictures. You two are doing so great! Lance Ivan is beautiful. I have been praying for you and will continue to pray for your patience and quick home coming. I can't wait to see you all. Thanks for taking the time to do all the posting, it is sweet to experience as much of your journey as we can from here.
