Spring is here!

Quote of the Day:
Your children become what you are; so be what you want them to be.
--David Bly

Good afternoon (4:17PM here)
I am trying to write before it gets too late in the morning for you guys. We have not had anything too eventful happen today, but we atleast wanted to check-in. It is a gorgeous day here in Kramatorsk as you will be able to see in some of the pictures. Everyone here is amazed it is still so cool this time of year. Typically, they say you should be able to swim but today is the warmest it has been and it is probably in the 70s. We had Lance out playing today. He did an impressive amount of walking. Unfortunately, his infatuation with doors even carries over to the outside. He walked across the entire playground to get to one door (which was locked.) He even accomplished one 2in high step by himself one time. Whoo-hoo. We are going to go outside again this evening. I am personally really looking forward to it.

Well, enjoy the pictures everyone!

- Judy, thank for sharing your Alexis stories. I always enjoy those and had missed them until today. Keep them coming!
- Thanks for the update dad.
- All of you that have posted that we have not seen or talked to in a long time. It is nice to hear from you. It is fun when good news can reunite friends and family.

Love, JM and Karen

Another one of the children here with special needs. She has been working very hard to stand with me.

The trees are blooming and everything has turned green since we arrived. We wanted to share spring with you all but if you can see, our little one was on the move, too.

After a hard trek we had to sit down and dump dirt on our pants. Hey, isn't that what boys are supposed to do?

We have been trying to capture some of Lance's babbling on video for you but he becomes camera shy. Atleast we can capture his motor boat. :o)

Hey. I am missing several things about Ukraine including the weather. JM, I had enchaladas at Dos Salsas last night, and they are just not the same as "Premier". Oh well, we'll make do.

hey guys, just checking in, have been out of town in Pittsburgh the past few days. (If you want to know about true deprivation, try a week in Pittsburgh (jk.) Glad to see all is going well. Keep your spirits up.

I it obvious to me from one of the the pictures that Lance has some great kung-fu moves with his hands. Classic! Let me work with him and nobody can touch him. Glad you guys have spring there. It was hot here today. The Players Championship is in full bloom. A young guy, Sean O' Hair, (I think) is tops on the leader board. With a name like that, he must be Czech. On I am sorry, the PGA doesn't take checks. Enjoy your time there every chance you get. We are, in fact, praying for you. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! It feels good to be the first one to say it to you, Karen. Love you guys,
OPA

Guten Tag!Wie geht's? By the way, what happened to Tim? Did he fall off the edge of the earth or did California finally float free? I guess it is Larry's job to bust your chops, but he will be in Brussels in a few hours. :0)

There is something about good weather...especially when it is not yet hot that puts an extra jolt of energy in you! Good job with your exercising, by the way. It is always good to have motivation. You guys look great in all the pictures. Isn't it amazing that Lance has gone from being someone that cried and darted from the door to this little lovebug? It won't be long now and he'll be adjusting to the new casa and starting the settling in process. Can't wait to see all of you guys. We're praying for you and all those munchkins there...warm homes for them, etc.

Love, Susan

lance my boy, i am here, always here. but i must admit, yes, it is true, i have been one of them----i have for several days now, in a shadow of disgrace, been a LURKER. yes, it is true. i know, you feel my pain. it is a relapse i hope to never fall into again. but, with your help, your prayers, your love, i can over come this character defect, one day at a time. i will be strong. i will be humble. i will be back!

happy mother's day to your mom. what a grand day i am sure it will be.

and congrats to you both karen & jm on your day in court. life is good. eat hotdogs. and smile.
